Bygone Days

Littledean - The Grange.

The most famous tale refers to a ghostly figure that appeared at midnight of a lady dressed in white, riding a white horse. It was said that she was the ghost of a Royal who fell out of favour and was incarcerated at the Grange.

In the same area as Dean Hall, the summit of a nearby hill is crowned by a small camp known as the "Roman Camp". The name itself is a misnomer since the Romans built no circular camps and the "camp" was probably no more than a Norman look-out post over the Severn Valley.
